Check-in Time and Location for Graduates

Degree candidates should check in at the appropriate location and time listed below. Please do not be late.

Baccalaureate participants will be grouped and seated in alphabetical order by degree. Specialist’s and master’s degree candidates will be grouped and seated in alphabetical order by degree. Doctoral candidates will be grouped and seated by degree. Baccalaureate, specialist’s and master’s candidates arriving after the processional line is finalized (15 minutes prior to each ceremony) will be added to the end of the processional line and may not be grouped and seated with their colleges in the coliseum.

Degree candidates should check in at the appropriate location and time listed below. Please do not be late.

Doctoral candidates will be grouped and seated by degree. Baccalaureate, specialist’s and master’s candidates arriving after the processional line is finalized (15 minutes prior to each ceremony) will be added to the end of the processional line and may not be grouped and seated with their colleges in the coliseum.

Items Needed at Check-in

Baccalaureate – Candidates should check in with their caps, gowns, name cards and student ID card.

Master's/Specialist's – Candidates should check in with their caps, gowns, hoods, name cards and student ID card.

Doctoral – Candidates should check in with their doctoral regalia (caps and gowns). Hoods and name cards will be issued by the Graduate School at the Payne Center during check-in.


Guest Information

Doors will open 90 minutes prior to each ceremony. Families and guests are urged to arrive in time to be seated at least 30 minutes in advance for the start of the processional. Please allow adequate time for parking, walking and seating.

Guests will be directed by parking attendants for directions to drop off those needing assistance, and handicap parking will be available for guests with proper vehicle decals.
